Foundation Piecing on muslin tailored just for your group. No paper piecing experience necesary. Muslin piecing is more forgiving than paper especially if you need to redo a couple of the trickier blocks.

Students will choose from kits: Cats in Attic Windows, Sampler quilt, Pineapple blocks, Log Cabins blocks, Cats with Tesselated Tails, “T” blocks. Students can preorder kits. Optional additions to class can include mitering borders.

Supply List:

Fabric: Lots of variety
If doing blocks with background- need contrast light to med/dark, mostly uses small pieces; fat quarters or scraps ok. Borders and binding may need more.
Not necesary to cut ahead of time
Sewing Machine: (good working order, threaded, new needle)
2 - Bobbins filled with neutral thread.
6" x 24" Gridded ruler, 6 1/2 inch square helpful may prefer 3" x 18" ruler if you have one.
Rotary Cutter
Straight  Pins
Colored pencils (bring if you have)
Small light box (bring if you have)
Ironing Set-up (1 for every 2 students)
Chocolate, water, snacks

Cats Kits: for the attic windows- Medium and dark fabric contrasts to background
Bias bars- or your favorite method for making bias strips
